I came across this site, mainly due to reading about blog spam. However the most interesting thing about his site was the cool hyperlinks he was using. So I set about finding out about them (or ripping off his code, depending on which way you look at it), and it turns out the code was written by a nice guy called Stuart Langridge, and even better still, the code is free to use. So as you can see, it's not taken me long to use it on my site. :-)
Oh, and if you're using a decent browser then they'll be semi-transparent as well...

Hmm, were you trying to break it Darren? :-) Yeah, it does fuck up with you start to increase the font size, but seeing as it's a problem with the guy's script, not my CSS, I can't be bothered to hack it... Maybe sometime when I'm bored...
No, I wasn't trying, that's my normal font settings. I'm fairly certain it can be fixed by changing from using "px" values to "em" values. You'd have to change the weightings too, but that's just a bit of trial and error.
Nope, the script does some wierd and wondeful javascript / DOM stuff to work out how big to make the box, and that uses pixels in it's maths, so I'd have to change that....
Wow, they're some really cool hovers you've got there - they look extremely safari like - check out a URL drag in safari sitting next to one of your hovers. Now all you need to do is round the corners and use the khtml-dropshadow CSS tag to give yourself a need little shadow on it!

Yeah, safari's DnD is quite nice, but I'm not sure I can be arsed to make rounded corners!
