Site News Dave shows off his (lack of) artistic skillz
Site News icon No category icon News icon Reviews icon Random Musings icon Photos icon

The latest site addition is my little category icons. I was thinking the site was looking a little sparse, and that a smattering of graphics would look quite nice, so I got out my crayons. And yes, I did draw them myself (apart from the photos one :-)

News So I may have to pay London a visit

After the fiasco that was the ticket sales for the Pixies' two dates at the Brixton academy (they sold out, mainly to touts, in about 6 minutes...), I've managed to get a pair of tickets for the second set of gigs! It seems that due to the rediculously high demand for the first two dates, they're added a second pair of dates on the 4th and 5th of June, and this time the website selling them didn't melt in 5 seconds...

Of course, if they do end up playing Glastonbury (and I manage to get a ticket to that), then I'll see then twice - not bad for a band that split up over ten years ago! :-)

News Here comes more viruses Windows' way

According to /., the Windows 2000 and NT source code has been leaked. So, what does this mean? Well, (if true) it means that a hell of a lot more virii will probably spring up, as the virus writers can see exactly how Windows works, and more specifically where the holes are. Could be an interesting next few months in the IT world...

Note: In case anyone doesn't understand what the source code is; it is basically the 'recipe' for a computer program; if you have it you can 'make' Windows, or more importantly, find out how it works and change it. Think of it as Microsoft's equivalent of Coca-Cola's secret recipe.

News Mark & Lard, we salute you

It seems that Mark and Lard are leaving Radio 1. NOOOOOO!!!! - they were one of the last remaining good things on Radio 1, and even worse, the comedy double act is lost, as Mark is off to Radio 2 and Lard to 6music.... Another great example of the slow demise that is settling on the BBCs 'flagship' music station.
