Yeah, it's a bit of a constant battle updating blacklists... and they seem to target movable type quite heavily, but I should be OK if I ever get round to moving off it...

I don't see what all the fuss is about. Would you really buy music from the internet in mp3 format? Its cheaper but lower quality, and you don't get the cd case and all the artwork etc which is quite nice sometimes. Also its nice to get a CD the post and open it and then open it up all quickly and have it all new inside and then put the cd on your stereo. I quite like having to get to change CDs every 50 minutes or so also. (I'm sounding a bit lame/obsessive here).

Would you ever really buy music in tape format when LP is so much better quality and you get the pretty sleeves?

Everyone has their own way of using music so more choices in the way you get it is typically welcomed. I'm one of those people who'll buy a CD, rip it, put it away and never touch it again. I have all my music collection stored on my server and when I want to listen to anything in my collection, it's all of about 10 seconds of searching away. I can create custom compiliations in minutes, I can just stick my entire collection on shuffle, or I could listen to a particular artist, genre or album as the mood takes me.

So, yeah, I'd buy music from the internet, but only if the bitrate was higher than what is typically offered. I also have an iRiver and refuse to touch WMA (Out of principle), meaning I'll only buy something like 160kb Ogg or 192kb MP3 (If it's encoded with LAME using the right settings).

I have no idea, will the iRiver touch AAC (assuming it's been de-fairplayed)?

I've had a look at the selection on iTMS europe, and it's a bit thin - the lack of Indie labels means that from a straw poll of my CD collection, less than half of it is currently available...
